How much you save by comparing a CS2 skin's price
The same skin, in the same wear, doesn't cost the same on every marketplace. Is the gap worth comparing for? We measured it across every skin we track, and the calculation reruns automatically on every price update.
The short answer
Today, buying a skin on the cheapest site instead of at the sites' median price saves 10.3% on median, and 30.3% compared with the most expensive site. On 52% of skins, the saving is above 10%.
Today's figures
Across 16,379 skins listed on at least 3 sites, buying at the lowest price instead of the median price saves 10.3% on median, and 30.3% compared with the most expensive site. On 52% of skins, the saving is above 10%.

Computed on October 27, 2026 from the latest price check, buyer fees included, paid with the site balance (card fees aren't counted: several sites don't publish them). Steam Market, Buff163 and YouPin898 excluded.
How we measure it
- The skins: every skin we track that is listed on at least 3 sites (today 16,379 skins).
- The price: the total price paid with the site balance, meaning the listed price plus the buyer fee published by the site. Card payment fees are not counted, because several sites don't publish them: we don't want to show an assumed figure.
- The check: every price goes through the same safeguard as on our skin pages (absurd prices, source errors and placeholder listings removed).
- Exclusions: the Steam Market (money stays locked in Steam), Buff163 and YouPin898 (they require a Chinese account).
- The measurement: for each skin, the gap between the lowest price and the sites' median price, then the median of those gaps across all skins.
Key takeaways
- The gap is real on most skins, but it varies a lot from one skin to another: that's why you should compare on every purchase, not once and for all.
- No site is the cheapest everywhere. The table shows several sites sharing first place.
- Fees change the ranking. A low listed price can end up more expensive than elsewhere once the buyer fee is added: always compare the total price.
FAQ
Why does the same skin cost different amounts on different sites?
Each marketplace has its own sellers, its own fees and its own customers. Sellers set their price based on the fees they pay and how fast they want to sell, and nothing automatically aligns one site's prices with another's.
Are card fees counted?
No. Several sites don't publish their card fees. To avoid assumptions, the study compares the price paid with the site balance (price plus published buyer fee). On our skin pages, "card" mode adds those fees when the site publishes them.
Does this figure change?
Yes: it's recalculated on every price update, every 2 hours. The calculation date is shown under the table.
